I am no historian and no credentials or formal education in history, but have a high respect for trained historians. My unlimited enthusiasm for understanding the history of the Fylde is the subject of this website.
Do not expect an authorised history the Fylde, just an incomplete collection of articles on it. Although the accuracy of its content has been carefully checked, some errors may have crept in. I will do my best to correct these when brought to my notice.
Most of the content can be found presented elsewhere in a different format, both online and printed. Please check these out, bearing in mind that, like this website, they may include inaccuracies that were commonly believed when they were written.
I will be adding links to many of the resources I use, particularly those which are online.
